The newly emerged rupee symbol can be typed from your old keyboard, you have to just follow some steps
1) Download the rupee font. to download click here.
2) Now goto control panel and paste it in Fonts.
3) Now open Microsoft word and select the font as Rupee.
4) Now press the key below ESCAPE and above TAB and you are done.
